FBPC offers Fantasy Baseball for 2013

Bi-weekly starting lineups will consist of:

Two Catchers
One First Baseman
One Second Baseman
One Shortstop
One Third Baseman
One Middle Infielder (either 2B or SS)
One Corner Infielder (either 1B or 3B)
One Utility Player (any position)
Five Outfielders
10 Pitchers (Six starting pitchers, two relief pitchers and two flex pitchers) with 1,000 minimum innings pitched per team

Online Options include:
-$77, $150 and $250 Draft Experts Leagues
-$750 Dynasty League
-$1,250 Big Dog Leagues

FBPC Main Event Details

14 team format.

All FBPC drafts will be held online.

Standard 5 x 5 scoring categories.

Author of Fantasy Baseball for Beginners declared Grand Champion in 2012 Fantasy Index Open

SAM HENDRICKS CROWNED GRAND CHAMPION IN THE 2012 FANTASY INDEX OPEN

Award-Winning Author Sam Hendricks Bests 92 Other Fantasy Football Prognosticators

FOREST, VA. – March 6, 2013 – Extra Point Press is pleased to announce that award-winning author Sam Hendricks won the 2012 Fantasy Index Open. The Fantasy Index Open is a prognosticating contest sponsored by Fantasy Index Magazine. The contest is open to "anyone who wants to show what they've got" according to their website, FantasyIndex.com. This is the second year of this competition and Sam Hendricks was confirmed as the winner in January 2013.

Hendricks was steady across the board in the competition and this allowed him to finish 122 points ahead of the second-place competitor. Sam finished in the top 10 in defenses (7th). His other finishes included: quarterbacks (22nd), running backs (13th), wide receivers (15th), tight ends (33rd), and kickers (11th). Due to a change in the scoring system this year, more weight was given to the lesser picks. This new system proved to be a boon for Hendricks and he was crowned Grand Champion.

As the "king" of this year's competition, Hendricks was awarded a large 19" football trophy worthy of any fine trophy case. The trophy was graciously donated to the Fantasy Index Open by Affordable Trophies (see photo on website). In addition, the winner of this competition also earns a berth in the sister competition, the Fantasy Index Experts Poll. Since Hendricks is already a member of the Experts Panel and has been in that competition for the past five years, his at-large berth will go to the second place finisher.

Time is running out to sign up for Fantasy Baseball at the National Fantasy Baseball Championship (NFBC)

The National Fantasy Baseball Championship (NFBC) will host its 10th year of high stakes fantasy baseball this year. One owner will walk away with the $100,000 grand prize in the NFBC's signature event (Classic). This year the NFBC will host events in Las Vegas, New York and Chicago over two weekends (22-24 and 29-30 March). Sin City will have events both weekend while New York and Chicago host the latter weekend. These live events are in addition to their online events.

There are two NFBC Main Events:
1) 15-Team Classic with a $100,000 Grand Prize
2) 12-Team NFBC VII with a $50,000 Prize

Online events include the NFBC Online Championship which is a 12-team, 30 round format with a $350 entry fee and a $50,000 Grand Prize.

Other satellite options include league entry fees of $100 to $1,000 and 10, 12 and 15-team leagues.

I have played the NFBC in previous years and find their playing experience and customer service to be excellent!
